I Always Do!
This evening, I've got some snap shots of a certain style of a bag that I truly adore.
It's a Rebecca Minkoff Devote Tote.
A style of bag, I fear, doesn't receive much love
amongst the ever growing designs of RM.
As these have made a few cameos in my polish concentrated posts,
Let me introduce to you, formally, the lovelies...
Washed Sliver Devote (RM Spring 2010)
Lavender Devote (RM 2009)
Passionfruit Devote (RM Sample Sale 2010)

I ADORE the Rebecca Minkoff Devote Tote!
This bag can be worn on the shoulder, in the crook of the arm, or held in the hand by the shoulder strap. It is HUGE! Standing at 15" high, 17" wide, and 7" deep, the devote tote is NO JOKE! This baby can be a used as a wonderful (and I DO mean Wonderful!) school, work, travel or even baby-bag! I've used it for all the above (...Almost! No babies, yet! *knock on wood*!)
I've fit folders, workbooks, my laptop (15" Mac book Pro which pokes out the top a little bit), tons of pouches filled with my daily needs, water bottles, etc. I've put clothes in my devotes, food for travel, shoes (in a plastic or shoe-bag of course! That's just nasty for used shoes to be exposed in your purse. Ewww!)...
Any and Everything Can Fit in this Bag!

Left to Right:
Washed Silver Devote
This devote is My First Devote & Very First Rebecca MInkoff handbag.
This is the bag that made me plunge into the Minkette World with the quickness! lol
It has soft brown leather which is mostly covered by metallic embossing. Beige, gold, and Silver metallic embossing is styled in an abstract manner, forming beautiful textures and depth to the surface of this bag. The Washed Silver Devote is very rocker chic, it has two small working zipper pockets on the front face of the bag, adorned with silver spiked studs on wither end of the zipper tracks and dazzled with a matching metallic embossed leather tassel to each zipper-pull. The front flap pocket covered spiked studs is for design only, it is not a functional pocket. The Devote tote is usually adorned with some sort of "belt" around the top of the bag. In this case, the matching leather belt has a chunky silver buckle that adds extra flair to this already awesome tote. The handle/shoulder strap is also pinched with two studs on each end of the leather strap. The same silver hardware is used for the four hexagonal feet on the bottom of the bag. This bag has one snap-button closure at the center of the opening of the bag. The Washed Silver Devote has the Black & Blue Polka-dot lining, original to its production year in Spring/Summer 2010.
Lavender Studded Devote
This devote is my has thick glazed taupe leather, with deep color saturation. It's super lovely. This bag was "longest-desired & searched-for bag" of my Minkette history! It took me a year! And when I got her..my beautiful Sasha..I was in Pocketbook Heaven. Cloud 9 for several days.
The Lavender Devote has studded silver hardware throughout. The arm handle is embellished with over a dozen silver studs. The studs continue to surround the bag, in four full studded rows on the top and 3 studded rows bottom of the front and back panels of the bag. Two matching leather belts with silver hardware loop through belt loops around the top of the bag. As the devote tote is a tote bag, with no zipper closure, these leather belts are adjustable to reduce or widen the opening of the bag. This bag has one snap-button closure at the center of the opening of the bag. As with many bags of this season, in 2009, this bag has the blue & white/beige linear striped lining. It's a beautiful Bengaline cotton fiber. My favorite Rebecca Minkoff lining.
Passionfruit Eyelet Devote
Unlike my other two devote, this devote has gold hardware, in neither studs or spike, but in gold toned eyelets! The leather is a thick, glazed orange-pink leather. The color saturation isn't as deep as the Lavender Devote tote. This may be due to the fact that this Passionfruit Devote tote is a Sample Sale bag, created for testing purposes, for possible production, however this particular design never made it to production, so very few were made. It really is a BEAUTIFUL Purse in person.
The Passionfruit Devote has studded gold eyelet hardware throughout. The arm handle is embellished with over a dozen golden eyelet studs. The studs continue to surround the bag, in four full studded rows on the top and 3 studded rows bottom of the front and back panels of the bag. Two matching leather belts with gold hardware loop through belt loops around the top of the bag.As a sample bag, the Passion Fruit Devote has the yellow & white linear striped canvas lining, that was used for many Sample Bags during this year this bag was made. Although it was a sample sale bag, its interior is the same as with the other devote totes created around this time, like the ones above. There is a large zipper pocket on the back interior wall, the zipper incased in ta thick leather strip, and below this pocket, a cute "Metrocard" slip-pocket, that fits MTA travel cards (Metrocard) or anything of similar size (business card size). There is no depth to this pocket though. On the interior front wall, as with most RM bags, there are two identical slip pockets, lining in the Passionfruit leather. This bag has one snap-button closure at the center of the opening of the bag.
The Washed-Silver Devote, has lovely beige, gold & silver metallic embossing (which wears away with use, as is the intended effect) on the daringly super soft brown leather (whose amazing texture and color is revealed as the metallic embossing wears away, and the brown leather begins to patina)!
The Lavender & Passionfruit Devotes have
GORGEOUS, Thick, Glazed Leathers!

YUMMMM!!!
I didn't take a pic of the bottom of these bags, but they each have four hexagonal feet, one in each bottom corner, in the corresponding hardware color as the rest of the bag. Below, you can see Passionfruit's little right Gold toe poking out on the left side of the photo! And even Lavender's (aka Sasha!) little left Silver toe poking out too, on the right side of the picture!
Thanks so much for reading, chicas!!!
I hope you've enjoyed it.
Laterzzzz
